A Sunday hike.

Yesterday we went hiking with Justin, Melissa and the kids. We had bought a book of easy day hikes in Utah so this was our first one. It was called The Living Room, it was above Red Butte Gardens the whole hike is supposed to be 2.4 miles. The kids did so good I was very impressed, Cade and Payton walked the whole way and cute little Sadie walked alot for her little legs and rode on Justin's shoulders the rest. When we got up to the top it was the coolest view, we could see the whole valley. It had little couches and chais made of the rocks it was very cool and so relaxing, the hike was well worth the view at the top! When we headed back down Jared wanted to take a "short cut", Justin and Sadie were already headed down the right path and Melissa and Cade chose not to take the short cut either. So Jared and Payton go sliding down a steep rocky hill and I follow along. After a couple of swear words and almost crying 2 times I got to the bottom of the hill by sliding on my butt and feet, while Jared AND Payton were at the bottom laughing at me. Anyway it was alot of fun and we cant wait to go on another hike!
